What is Dance Movement Therapy (DMT?)
Dance/Movement therapy (DMT) refers to the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive and physical integration of the individual (American Dance Therapy Association, ADTA).
In simpler terms, DMT is a form of expressive arts therapy that helps to integrate the physical, emotional, cognitive and social aspects of a person to bring about greater well-being. One key premise is that the body holds 'memories' that go beyond our conscious awareness; by moving the body, we stir up this unconscious material and get an opportunity to learn from our past experiences, thereby gaining the insight to manage our current situations with more presence and empowerment.
Our Programmes
Trauma-informed. Evidence-based. Certified Practice.
We run several dance movement therapy programmes across various populations, including general public, youth, elderly and groups with specific needs e.g. rehabilitation. At times we blend movement therapy with other somatic practices like Acroyoga to achieve a fitness and social outcome as well.
Our programmes can be tailored upon request.

Your body is the ground and metaphor of your life, the expression of your existence.
